NAT stands for National Aptitude Test. It’s a kind of NTS Test conducted for the students seeking admission in Bachelor, BS (Hons) or Master level programs in NTS associated universities and institutions nation-wide.
NAT test is of two types NAT-I and NAT-II. Thos who have completed their twelve years of education are eligible to appear in NAT-I for qualifying the criteria for admission in NTS associated universities and institutions. NAT-I is further divided into six categories, NAT-!E for pre-engineering students, NAT-IM for pre-medical students, NAT-IA for arts and humanities group, NAT-ICS for computer sciences, NAT-IGS for general science students and NAT-ICOM for commerce students.
Similarly students who have completed their fourteen years of education can apply for NAT-II test for qualifying the criteria of eligibility for admission in master level any NTS associated university or institution. NAT-II is further divided into five categories, NAT-IIA for students who have completed their fourteen years education in arts and social sciences, NAT-IIB for students of biological science group, NAT-IIM for students of management sciences, NAT-IIP for students of physical sciences and NAT-IIO for students who have completed their fourteen years of education in oriental & Islamic studies group.
All the candidates have to be appeared once for all the NTS associated universities for the purpose of admission. But the candidates are bound to follow the admission criteria of the respective university or institution. Candidates aren’t considered to be eligible for admission in NTS associated universities without having NAT certificate.
Total number of questions in NAT-I paper is 90 and time allowed for these ninety questions is 120 minutes (2 hours). Number of questions and time for all the six categories of NAT-I test is same but pattern of papers are different for different categories.
Total number of questions in NAT-II test is 100 and time allowed for them is 120 minutes (2hours). Number of questions and time allowed for them is the same for all the categories of NAT-II test but the pattern of papers are different for different categories.
Candidates are required to apply for admission in the respective university according to announced admission schedule along with the copy of NTS certificate. Other wise admission forms are considered incomplete and can’t be processed.
NAT-I and NAT-II test results will be considered valid for one year for admission purpose.
